Rollerblading

I am learning to write a report. I’ve put lots of information in and good safety tips. whaea Annie seas that I clearly explained what rollerblading is and how it works. I realised that I need to proof read my work a couple of times more than I normally do.

Rollerblading is a sport that is wheels on boots (or shoes) in a straight line that’s why it’s also called inline scatting. It is really fun. It’s sometimes dangerous if you’re near lots of people and you have to dodge everyone. You have to think fast so you don’t crash .

You should do it because it’s fun and challenging .  It is also a good way to stay fit and healthy. 

You should do rollerblading on smooth grounds and a special rollerblading Arena or at a or at a park with smooth Concrete. 

The parts of a roller blade shoe are Wheels you can get three or four wheels on one shoe. You can’t just use a normal shoe and put wheels onto it because the roller blade should have a slot at the bottom of the shoe. That has a special area that the wheels can go on to.

When you do rollerblading you should always wear some protective gear such as knee pads , elbow pads , shin pads and a helmet.

Rollerblading was invented by Scot and Brennan Olson in the 1980s.

You stop by using the break on the right Rollerblade at the back.which is  hulled by a bolt. 

WAITOHU

I have been leraning to write a report. I like how I put in the sentience: We have a swimming pool that we use in summer. whaea Annie said that I put in lots of good ideas like we have lots of  events. I’ve learnt that I need to put in just a bit more punctuation.

Waitohu School is a primary school in Ōtaki and has 12 classrooms. It goes from Year 1 to Year 6. We have quality teachers, and we follow the motto “To be our best.”

We do lots of sports. We have a swimming pool that we use in summer. We also do a duathlon and a cross-country.

We have a disco for Matariki and a hāngī.

We have inspiration words outside of Room 4. We use them as part of our motto. We have a wall made of rocks at the front of the school. We have a kōwhai tree outside of Room 8. When I was in Room 8, my class made a book that we published. There’s a concrete path on the field for the scooters, and we have a PE shed that is run by Rooms 5 and 6.

At the end of every year, the school gives one Year 6 student the Winstone Award to borrow. Whoever wins it receives it because they followed all the inspiration words and the motto. The award is a big silver trophy.

I recommend this school because it is free to go to, we have lots of events, we do school sports, and the Year 4, 5, and 6 students also get to use Chromebooks.

My Weekend

I’ve been learning how to do a recount. I like how I explained where we are. My feedback from whaea Annie is that I need to check my spelling. I like how I said what we saw on the track. I realised that I need to combined some short sentences that are short with some other short ones.

On the weekend, I borrowed my Nana’s electric bike and my dad borrowed her electric scooter. We rode for one hour.

On the way there, we saw two runners and two horses. About ten minutes after we saw the horses, we finally got to Kapiti Road. We went up the road for a little bit and went towards Kapiti Road.

We went on the path beside the expressway. We went from Raumati Beach to Kapiti Road. On the way there, we went over a bridge. We got to a split and chose to go right. That led us to a straight that lasted about ten minutes.

At the end of the straight, we came out by PAK’SAVE. We turned around, got back to the split, and turned left.

After we got to Nana’s house, we were so tired and our hands were freezing from the wind.

My Holidays

                              MY HOLIDAYS

I’ve been learning to write a recount. I like how I put in where we are. My feedback from whaea Annie is that I put in lots of detail. I think I need to work on some of my spelling.

In the holidays, I went to the Disney Expo in Wellington with my mum, dad and my brother Nate.

First we bought the tickets. They were very expensive at $100. We got a clipboard and a pencil. I drew Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck.

Not only did we get to see the original drawings, they were so amazing but we also got to see how they made the first ever film by Walt Disney. It was so cool !

We got to watch a little bit of Alice In Wonderland. It was so cool! My mum drew Donald Duck. 

Next we went to the Moana 2 section and looked at some of the drawings. We watched some of Moana 2  for about 15 minutes. Then we went back to the car because we ran out of parking time. The Disney Expo was so fun and cool! My favorite part was when we watched Alice In Wonderland. I was so tired afterwards!

I’m  was so tired after all that!

 

DIARY Of A Wimpy Kid.

I am currently reading Diary of a Wimpy Kid and so far I think it is great.
One of the most interesting things that has happened so far is fun and great.
The main character is George.
I want to keep reading because it’s a good book.

I am currently reading Diary of a wimpy kid cabin fever  and so far I think it is a really good book.

One of the most interesting things that has happened so far is the teachers taking away the play equipment.

The main character is Goarg.

This story makes me think about Christmas because it has a part when he tries to buy some presents. 

I want to keep reading because it’s a fun book.
